Shri Krishna Horizontal
Scourer
Purpose
The Shri Krishna Horizontal
scourer is primarily used for cleaning wheat
and rye
- To separate impurities such as dust,
sand, small seeds, etc.
- To remove dirt and husks
adhering to the grain
- To reduce bacteria content
- To
eliminate insects and insects fragments
Recommended applications
- As a scourer in the first cleaning
stage
- As a scourer in the second cleaning stage
- As a
silo scourer in the preliminary cleaning section
providing throughout rates up to 1,100 bushels (30 tons)
per hour

How it works
The grain is tangentially fed to the
horizontal rotor. The special rotor carefully picks up
the product and throws it against the scouring jacket.
The intense whirling motion of the grain layer results
in:
- Friction between the kernels
- Friction
between kernels and scouring jacket
- Friction between
kernels and beaters
Tailings can be delivered to a type
aspiration channel located on the same floor.
The through are carried off
separately. The machine is driven by v-belt (fixed
speed). A variable speed drive is also available for
special applications.
